Waiting on Wednesday {18}

Wednesday, March 27, 2013
Well, this week is supposed to be my Spring Break, but on Monday we got 10 inches of snow. On the bright side, it's giving me plenty of time to catch up on reading and spending time checking out new books. So here are a few that I have seen that look super interesting for me. Have a waiting post? Leave a comment linking it and I'll check it out.

Another Little Piece by Kate Karyus Quinn
On a cool autumn night, Annaliese Rose Gordon stumbled out of the woods and into a high school party. She was screaming. Drenched in blood. Then she vanished. A year later, Annaliese is found wandering down a road hundreds of miles away. She doesn't know who she is. She doesn't know how she got there. She only knows one thing: She is not the real Annaliese Rose Gordon. Now Annaliese is haunted by strange visions and broken memories. Memories of a reckless, desperate wish . . . a bloody razor . . . and the faces of other girls who disappeared. Piece by piece, Annaliese's fractured memories come together to reveal a violent, endless cycle that she will never escape—unless she can unlock the twisted secrets of her past.

Sixteen-year-old Annabelle Jacobs never asked to be famous, but as the daughter of Janie Jacobs, one of the biggest TV stars in the world, she is. Growing up is hard enough. Having to do it in public because your mother is a famous actress? Even harder. When your mom crashes and burns after her DUI mug shot is splashed across the internet? Definitely not fun. Then your mom falls for a guy so much younger than she that it would be more appropriate for you to be dating him? That’s just a train wreck waiting to happen.

  1. Another Little Piece looks to be an intriguing read. Not sure about the second, as I haven't read any of the series it's comparing it to.
